Xfce4-weather-plugin 0.8.3-2 is working great for me right now, I have seven days worth of information in the Forecast tab when I click on the app in my panel, and when I select Refresh it does so in less than two seconds. And, if we can get the weather-plugin updated, nobody will need it as a work-around. I'm not complaining about the fact that the plugin is only packaged for Debian, just pointing it out.
